The developer of the Palm Jebel Ali project announced on Monday that the first eight fronds are expected to be site-ready by the first quarter of 2025. Once these sections are prepared, civil works and the installation of villa infrastructure can commence.
Nakheel, the project developer, has awarded a contract valued at Dh810 million for marine works on Palm Jebel Ali. The company will be involved in dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement, facilitating the construction of villas across all fronds.
“With mobilization activities already underway, Jan De Nul Dredging is anticipated to complete the full scope of marine works at Palm Jebel Ali within just over two years,” Nakheel stated.
New Infrastructure Developments
In addition to the marine works, construction has commenced on a new public access road that will connect Palm Jebel Ali to Sheikh Zayed Road, enhancing accessibility to the development.
More than 700 villas in Phase 1 of Palm Jebel Ali’s frond development were launched last year and were sold out within hours. The sales event saw a significant turnout from real estate brokers and investors, reflecting strong market demand.
Project Timeline and Capacity
The ongoing marine and infrastructure developments are crucial for the timely delivery of these residences, which are scheduled for completion by late 2026. Upon finalization, the Palm Jebel Ali island will span 13.4 km in length, featuring 16 fronds and 91 km of coastline. This new development, twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, is expected to accommodate approximately 35,000 families.
