Dubai has sanctioned 1.46 million square meters of land to facilitate the construction of 17,080 affordable residential units. This initiative aligns with the emirate’s Affordable Housing Policy, aiming to enhance accessibility to quality housing for residents across various income levels.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has endorsed a series of policies and initiatives designed to expand affordable housing, improve education, and support independent legal professionals. According to a News Agency report, these measures reflect the leadership’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and sustainable urban environment.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized Dubai’s dedication to offering diverse housing solutions, stating: “We are committed to providing a wide range of residential options and welcome innovative contributions that help create a cohesive and prosperous society. Dubai is a city for everyone.”

Targeting skilled professionals, this initiative aims to develop vibrant communities, bolster economic expansion, generate employment opportunities, and enhance access to quality housing and essential services. The initial phase will focus on six locations, including Al Mueisim 1, Al Twar 1, Al Qusais Industrial 5, and Al Leyan 1. These residential units will be available at competitive rental rates and will feature high-quality living spaces with access to key infrastructure and essential amenities.
Implementation and Oversight
The Supreme Committee for Urban Planning will oversee the execution of this project, with key contributions from the Dubai Land Department, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, General Directorate for Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Civil Defence, and Dubai Real Estate Corporation.
Sheikh Hamdan reiterated that Dubai’s global standing as a leading city is founded on a vision that prioritizes empowerment, opportunity, and the nurturing of talent. He highlighted the importance of national values, knowledge expansion, and entrepreneurship as key pillars of Dubai’s growth strategy.
Commitment to a Sustainable and Ambitious Future
