Dubai Unveils Ambitious Quality of Life Strategy (2033)

Dubai Announces Focus on Resident Wellbeing:

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently approved the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. This three-phased initiative (2024-2033) prioritizes resident well-being through various enhancements.

Key Highlights:

  • Enhanced Beach Access: Significant expansion of beach cycling tracks (300% increase), extended night swimming options (60% increase), and designated beaches for women.
  • Green Spaces and Active Living: Development of over 30 new parks and the construction of more than 115km of pedestrian and cycling paths. Over 3,000 trees and plants will be planted.
  • Vibrant Culture and Entertainment: Increase of 1,34% in annual cultural, sporting, and entertainment events, alongside dedicated areas for tourism and hospitality.

Commitment to Resident Wellbeing:

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the strategy’s alignment with Dubai’s focus on sustainable development and resident well-being. He expressed the goal of establishing Dubai as a global leader in resident well-being, offering a healthy, active, and culturally rich lifestyle.

Implementation and Alignment:

A dedicated office will oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with the Dubai 2040 Urban Plan and ongoing heritage preservation efforts. Sheikh Hamdan reiterated Dubai’s commitment to economic growth, innovation, and resident well-being, highlighting the importance of a vibrant and culturally diverse society.
