A 75,000 sqft photovoltaic façade will generate electricity to charge 40 electric vehicles daily.

On Wednesday, luxury developer Binghatti Properties, based in Dubai, introduced a new $1 billion branded residence in Downtown. The development will feature duplex and triplex apartments.

The ultra-luxurious project, Mercedes-Benz Place by Binghatti, is a collaboration with the German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz and will be constructed in one of the last remaining plots in the highly sought-after Downtown Dubai location.

The 65-story tower, comprising a total of 150 apartments, has prices starting from Dh10 million. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The tower will accommodate two, three, and four-bedroom units, five-bedroom penthouses, as well as duplex and triplex apartments.

The two-bedroom floors will have only four suites, and the three-bedroom unit floor will have only three suites. Each floor will feature only two five-bedroom penthouses.

With a height of 341 meters, the tower will offer residents various amenities, including restaurants, sports and wellness zones, lounges, non-automotive retail, exhibition spaces, parking, electric vehicle charging, smart mobility apps, ride-hailing, bike and scooter sharing, chauffeur services, and automated valet parking. Additionally, each unit will come with its own private swimming pool.

The duplex units will feature six bedrooms, a private gym, and an office, among other amenities. Triplex units will span three floors and include a private gym, cinema, spa, and other amenities.

The developer has incorporated photovoltaic technology into the façade, spanning 75,000 square feet, to generate energy for charging 40 electric vehicles per day, totaling 20,000km of carbon-free trips, according to Muhammad Binghatti, CEO of Binghatti Properties, in an interview with Khaleej Times.

Mercedes-Benz Place by Binghatti is the latest addition to the developer’s portfolio of branded residences, following Bugatti Residences by Binghatti and Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co.

Regarding triplex units, Binghatti mentioned they are exclusive and off-market, and although not priced yet, there is already significant interest with the sales team closing units during the soft launch.

Binghatti emphasized the appeal of such properties as “trophy assets” for both end-users and investors, stating that some buyers consider them as collections, similar to car collectors.

Britta Seeger, member of the board of management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG for marketing and sales, expressed that Dubai is an ideal location for a branded residences project.
